Ways to Give

There are many ways that you can make a donation to Ner Tamid.

Check these out!

Have a Car-Mitzvah: Congregation Ner Tamid receives 75% of the net proceeds from the donation of your worn-out or unused vehicles. The American Brokerage accepts most cars, trucks, boats, RVs – running or not – and they will pick up your donation! To make a donation or for additional information, call Jerry Robbins at 1-650-572-0989 or contact the Synagogue office.

Community Thrift Store: Congregation Ner Tamid is a charitable organization listed with Community Thrift Store at 623 Valencia Street, San Francisco. If you have clothing, furniture, household items or other things to donate, you may drop them off every day from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Be sure to mention that our charitable gift number is #207. When the items are sold, Community Thrift will disburse proceeds, sales minus operation costs, to Ner Tamid! If you have large items such as furniture or TVs, they will pick up. For additional information about what they will accept as donations or to schedule a pickup, call 415-861-4910 or visit their website:www.communitythriftsf.org.

Your gifts to the organizations listed above are tax deductible. The donations you make benefit Ner Tamid and enable us to expand programs and services to our members and at the same time provide a community service to our charity partners; Car Program, Inc. and Community Thrift Store.

Smile.Amazon.com: Congregation Ner Tamid has been selected as a recipient of an Amazon donation to almost everything you purchase on Amazon.  All you have to do is go to www.Smile.Amazon.com, log into your Amazon account, and go shopping. If the item you are purchasing is “Eligible for  donation”, you’ve just done a mitzvah!  The AmazonSmile Foundation will send 0.5% of the eligible purchase to Congregation Ner Tamid.

When you log in for the first time, select your charity by searching for Congregation Ner Tamid.  You will see perhaps a dozen congregations with our name, select the one that says San Francisco (usually 5th or 6th from the top.)

Wills and Legacies: Make sure Ner Tamid is in your will. If you are in a position to bequeath a home or a large sum of money to our synagogue, it could be through a direct bequest or through the Jewish Community Federation Endowment Fund. What a wonderful way to make sure Congregation Ner Tamid continues well into the future!
